Lincoln Nautilus: Exterior Lighting / Headlamp Leveling Sensor. Removal and Installation
Removal
Front suspension mounted

Remove the LH front wheel and tire assembly.
Refer to: Wheel and Tire (204-04A Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation).

Remove the LH fender splash shield.
Refer to: Fender Splash Shield (501-02 Front End Body Panels, Removal and Installation).

Remove the bolts and the front headlamp leveling sensor.

Remove the harness retainer.
-
Disconnect the electrical connector.
Torque:
177 lb.in (20 Nm)
Rear suspension mounted
-
Remove the LH rear wheel and tire assembly.
Refer to: Wheel and Tire (204-04A Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation).

Remove the rear headlamp leveling sensor.
-
Disconnect the electrical connector.
-
Remove the nuts.
Torque:
133 lb.in (15 Nm)
-
Remove the bolts.
Torque:
177 lb.in (20 Nm)
Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Calibrate the suspension height sensor. Connect the scan
tool and carry out the Ride Height Calibarion routine, following the
scan tool directions.

Detach the clips and pivot the instrument panel LH lower trim panel downward.
