Lincoln Nautilus: Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems / Hood Latch. Removal and Installation
Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE:
Some vehicles are equipped with a grille shutter
assembly framework only. These vehicles will not have a grille shutter
actuator or a grille shutter linkage.
Remove the active grille shutter.
Refer to: Active Grille Shutter (501-02 Front End Body Panels, Removal and Installation).

Remove the hood latch.

Disconnect the hood ajar switch electrical connector.
-
Detach the hood ajar switch electrical connector locator clip.
-
Remove the hood latch nuts.
Torque:
106 lb.in (12 Nm)

Disconnect the hood latch release cable from the hood latch.

Remove the hood ajar switch harness from the routing tab and remove the hood latch.
Installation
-
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Removal
Remove the fuel filler door assembly.
Refer to: Fuel Filler Door Assembly (501-03 Body Closures, Removal and Installation).
Release the clips and remove the fuel filler door latch...

How Does Traction Control Work
If your vehicle begins to slide, the system
applies the brakes to individual wheels and,
when needed, reduces power at the same
time. If the wheels spin when accelerating
on slippery or loose surfaces, the system
reduces power in order to increase traction.
Switching Traction Control On and Off
WARNING: The stability and traction
control light illuminates steadily if the
system detects a failure. Make sure you
did not manually disable the traction
control system using the information
display controls or the switch. If the stability
