Lincoln Nautilus: Roof Opening Panel / Roof Opening Panel Frame. Removal and Installation
Removal
NOTE:

Remove the roof opening panel glass.
Refer to: Roof Opening Panel Glass (501-17 Roof Opening Panel, Removal and Installation).

If replacing the roof opening panel frame, remove the air deflector.
Refer to: Air Deflector (501-17 Roof Opening Panel, Removal and Installation).

Remove the roof opening panel shield.
Refer to: Roof Opening Panel Shield (501-17 Roof Opening Panel, Removal and Installation).

NOTE:
RH side shown, LH side similar.
On both sides.
Remove the front side grab handle spacer by sliding rearward off the retaining clips.

NOTE:

On both sides.
Remove the grab handle spacer retainers from the vehicle body.

Install the retainers to the side grab handle spacers.
-
Disconnect the drain hoses.
-

Disconnect the 2 motor electrical connectors.
-
Disconnect the wiring harness from the frame assembly as necessary.

Position the front and second row seats as shown.
-
With the help of an assistant.
Remove the 19 retainers and lower the roof opening panel frame.
Torque:
93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)

With the help of an assistant.
Remove the roof opening panel frame out the rear of the vehicle.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Carry out the power roof opening panel initialization.

Torque:
18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
