Two Leg Puller

Removal

  1. Open the wiper pivot arm nut cover.
  1. Remove the wiper pivot arm nut.
  1. Remove the wiper pivot arm.
    Use the General Equipment: Two Leg Puller

Installation


  1. Verify the rear window wiper motor is in the PARK position.
    1. Turn the ignition ON.
    1. Push the rear wiper switch to cycle the rear wiper motor.
    1. Turn the ignition OFF.

  1. Install the wiper pivot arm.
    1. Align the wiper blade on the 1st defroster grid line.
    1. Install the wiper pivot arm nut.
      Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)
  1. Close the wiper pivot arm nut cover.

    If a message regarding a blocked sensor or camera appears in the information display, something is obstructing the radar signals or camera images. The radar sensor is behind the fascia cover in the center of the lower grille. With a blocked sensor or camera, the system may not function, or performance may reduce.
